Domestic Solar PV & Battery Since 2012
Domestic Solar PV estimate tool

-Is my home suitable
–Experience with homes across the country
–Save money on your bills, make money selling your surplus
Energy prices are high, equipment prices are at record lows and Solar PV and batteries are VAT-free for domestic customers so act now!
A domestic solar PV system will permanently lower your energy bills by reducing the amount of electricity that you buy (as you generate your own) and you will also generate an income by selling your surplus back to the grid (Smart Meter required). The efficiency of solar PV has increased significantly in recent years and the cost to purchase has reduced significantly. Coupled with high energy prices this means Solar PV has never been more affordable or such a good investment!
The addition of battery storage allows you to save surplus energy generated during the day to use at night and also, in the winter months allows you to charge the battery at cheaper nighttime rates to use during the day. One of our customers has saved more than £800 this winter doing just that.
Our highly experienced team will use market leading design tools and Solar Technology to design and install a bespoke domestic solar PV system, tailored to your home’s needs.
How much is solar for my house?
With no VAT to pay on Solar PV and a battery, the government incentives are definitely in place to help you make the decision to be kinder to the environment and your pocket. (batteries VAT free as a retrofit as well from Feb 24).
Additional opportunities to increase your efficiency still further include an option to install a Home Energy Management System (HEMS) that allows you to divert any surplus electricity to your heating, hot water or electric vehicle and/or you could install a backup box that allows you to use electricity from your battery to power your home, even in the event of a power cut.
In the future, the HEMS device will also allow your system to become part of a virtual power plant and be paid a premium for any electricity that you export to help manage loads on the electricity grid and the transition to the use of more renewable electricity sources.

Project Energy is partnering with Scroll Finance in 2025 to provide an exciting, flexible new finance offering exclusively for our clients.
Scroll is working with the UK Government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero to develop new financial products designed to help homeowners and private landlords afford green home improvements.
The first tranche of loans is expected to be available in April 2025 and will include an exciting new way of borrowing, designed specifically for home improvement purposes.
One of the key features of this new product is a Line of Credit facility that allows you to draw down funds as needed to meet the installer’s payment schedule. This enables you to manage your project costs effectively and only access funds when work is completed and approved.

“They helped me understand what I actually needed on the house and what would be overkill. I had some varying quotes in terms of price and number of panels needed etc. and was a bit confused as to what would be best.
The information provided and the non-selling led approach mean we’ve got a solution that works for us, saving us a small fortune. I calculated just having the battery and charging on an Octopus time-of-use tariff saves us around £800 per year! That is without calculating the solar-generated and then stored in the battery for us later. Which could be in the thousands again on top.”
System installed in 2012 and still going strong

Our Process
To create your bespoke proposal, we need a copy of your electricity bill and your address.
We use the market leading PV Sol software which has been the tool of choice for system designers since 1998.
We will send your fully costed proposal and, once you are happy with the design, will then visit you to carry out the installation survey.
We allow 2 days for installation and commissioning and, weather permitting, to minimise disruption, aim to have the scaffold up for no more than a week.
